. hong kong ah .

I finally got back from Hong Kong, and my 3 Christmas days away seemed like a week. I did a total haul on everything I could going from after-xmas clothes shopping in H&M but also ended some pure Sassa and Sephora cravings.

I think over all even if the streets of Kowloon and the main Hong Kong squares where pretty crowded it as good and not to annoying to walk around.

Here are some photo's.

Breakfast the man was painting something on the board but I completely forgot to ask him what. Anyways just trying out stuff with the Powershot.

The aviary in one of Hong Kong's parks, just next to Great Food.

I'm not sure which brand this window was for but it was simply gorgeous!!

The other day someone asked me who my all time favorite model was.
And so I didn't think I could answer.
You can't really have a fav, they are all so beautiful and different it would be harsh and hard to judge them!

But I have to admit I have a crush on a not so famous Japanese model called Jun Hasegawa 長谷川潤. She is one of the main models for Vivi magazine but she's also been the cover girl for 25ans, Blenda, NYLON japan and so on.

Here are some of the info's on her:

Occupation: Model/Writer

Birthdate:05/06/1986

Born in:America (New Hampshire NH) and has lived in Hawaii since she was 2.

Ethnicity: Half Japanese, half American.

Blood type:O

Measurements:T164 B82 W60 H90 S24

She is a really beautiful model, with such a versatile style. I totally have to admit i love models with mixed ethnicity, just gives a more exotic look.

She is also a writer and wrote a book about her youth, living in poverty in with a single mom and moving to japan to become a successful model.

For more info go see her website and profile here:

So I've been trying out some new stuff on my camera, and I'm learning how to use the Macro function.
Yes it's full winter time but the sky is still blue and there are tons of flowers in my back yard.

Frangipan Flowers.

Winter Cactus

Close up on an Aloe Vera branch.
Some random flowers in the driveway.

Though it's still pretty sunny out, it is getting really cold, and January will probably friggin icy.
Anyways, still some training to do with this camera.

So this is my new camera the PowerShot SW110 IS by Canon. It takes great pics for a compact.
And helps me get used to the functions i'll find back on more advanced Canons.

It's actually my christmas present from my dad. Apart from that I might also buy myself a new pair of Vans.
But I'll keep it cheap this year.

Coz when I go to Japan, I'll probably be spending my alowance of 3 months.
That's about 500 Hong Kong Dollars or less.

I think I might start doing some streets snaps soon when my mum lends me her old camera.
People here dress in an interesting way and I think it should be shown.

Although you have a different crowd from Paris, Berlin, London or even Milan, they still do have an unique style.
I don't know I always thought it took guts to go on to people and ask them for a photograph but i'll try.

. your bones are skin tight .

Most people have told me that you have to be somewhat thin to be accepted by the fashion industry. I do believe they are right, you have to be thin to be "accepted" more easily but I don't believe you have to be thin to become an "icon".

Tu ne peux pas changer qui tu es,
mais tu peux changer la façon d'ont on te vois.

You can't change who you are,
But you can change the way people see you.

And I guess that's something I always try to do, I try to make people see me not for my clothes and my make up but most importantly for who I am. I guess being the one of the only foreign teenagers in my town, I have to deal with how people look at me a bit more than I would back home.

And when I say home I mean Europe, not a specific place. I have no real home.

Anyways, yes before, it didn't bother me back when I was 14 or 15 to look like an 18 year old, but now I feel like I have to live life as my own age not as people see me.
And I have to live inside my own skin and not the one I wish I sometimes had.

Sometimes I wish I was blacker, sometimes I wish I was more asian, and sometimes I curse the day I was born with such a pale skin.
Being such a mixed person I have my own dilemas.

But I deal, and now it goes on fine.

To this I conclude:

Be who you are even if you have 15 extra kilos, or even if you skin doesn't seem to be the right color.

And don't forget to wear your clothes like accessories, not like armours.

. xmas shopping .

Yes, well in 2 days and a half exactly it'll be the day 5 year olds will be waiting for, they might even pee there pans waiting for it but they just have too.
But right now these are the day's young women spend all their cash and savings on the ultimate gifts to give themselves, from shoes to bags and dresses, you can never say I haven't been waiting for this time of the year!

I can't say that. And I think neither can you!

Splurge 1: Vans Chuuka Fleece Shoes. Very unglamorous but extremely comfy!

Splurge 2: The PERFECT set of writing paper and 2009 agenda worth about HK$35.
I'm cheap. Don't laugh.

Splurge 3: Random Fringe Bag, that I've actually bought for about HK$30.
But mine's in Suede not leather and it has little punkish silver punched spikes in it.

Splurge 4: Faith Buckle Strapped Patent Platform Shoes about HK$500.

Final Splurge: New Year Party Dresses:
Quontum Neon Cup Mini Dress
Quontum Neon Strappy Back Dress

But I'm really broke so I probably won't be able to buy anything.
Can't blame me for dreaming!

. hello love i've come to say goodbye .

Hello Dear reader,

who ever you are and where ever you are from.

This blog, webpage or diary, call it as you like, is some kind of memo book on all the things passing and flowing that we call seasons.
And that sometimes mark the times by a dress or just a bag.

I am here just a simple person trying to make her life easier by organising,
what might be called a "pile of junk, clothes and magazines".

Because my life is oh so complicated.
I buy clothes and get manicures instead of cutting stuff.

I'm not good at introductions but this is enought.

Goodbye bitches,
and welcome to DISCARDEDteenagerz.
